The Honeymoon: Ferry to Lana’i

Sometimes its okay to eat dessert before your dinner, so I’m going to start documenting our wedding with the Hawaii honeymoon first. (Besides, we only just got the wedding photos in the mail tonight!)

As I announced back in May, we decided to spend our ten-day honeymoon on the beautiful Hawaiian islands. After the whirlwind of the wedding week, we (correctly) chose to stay on the quiet, secluded island of Lana’i for the first couple of days.

After leaving Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Matthew and I stopped back in LA for a night to change bags – grabbing our trunks and bikinis, and leaving the wedding dress and suit behind! We flew out to Maui on Tuesday morning, where Matthew’s Uncle Frank greeted us with fresh Hawaiian leis (that smelled amazing!) and some funny stories about what we didn’t see going on at our reception. He gave us a ride from the airport to catch the Maui-Lana’i Ferry out of Lahaina, seeing us off as we truly began our honeymoon.
