One of the many great things about having visitors in town is getting an excuse to try out a new places – especially restaurants! My new mother-in-law and brother-in-law came to visit us this past week for our first planned visit as a newlywed couple – Matthew’s other brother, Nick, in his usual, spontaneous style, surprised us with a weekend visit the moment we came back from our honeymoon. This way, though, I got two weekends of family and bodyboarding, so all’s good.
We took these guys out to a restaurant called Upper West, where I sipped on my Cucumber + Mint Martini and a little of his mom’s Ginger Cosmo (I’m getting that one next time), then ate some really delicious Ahi Tuna Crispy Tacos, Mac + Cheese and French Fries. I wore this Silk safari tank by Banana Republic and this A-Line Mini Skirt by Vince Camuto (a recent score from T.J. Maxx), dressed down with these great ‘Gigi’ Sandals by Sam Edelman for a fun, casual evening look.
